Niles
Crane has been in love with Daphne Moon
for the past six years. He smells her hair whenever he
has the chance, makes up excuses to be with her, and has come
very close to telling her how he feels. However, it has
never worked out due to numerous reasons--the interference of
Niles' brother Frasier, his father Martin, or a simple loss of
courage. During the season finale(season 7), they both
confessed their feelings for one another. They admitted
that they are in love with each other,
but Daphne wasn't sure if things would work out between them.
However, instead of marrying Donny, she ran off in Martin's
Winnebago with Niles, asking him if he was free for a date
that night. She even called him Niles!
